Baglamukhi Santan Prapti Pooja
Motherhood is one of the most sacred desires in human life. In Hindu tradition, blessings for progeny (santan) are often sought through the grace of powerful divine energies. Maa Baglamukhi, though widely known as the goddess of power and protection, also bestows blessings upon childless couples who approach her with devotion, purity, and faith.
The Baglamukhi Santan Prapti Pooja is a tantric and devotional ritual performed to seek the blessing of a healthy and divine child, especially when a couple faces obstacles such as delay in conception, repeated miscarriages, or medical complications.
Why Worship Maa Baglamukhi for Childbirth?
Though Baglamukhi Devi is primarily associated with Stambhan Shakti (power to silence/stop), she is also a form of Shakti (Divine Mother) — and like all Mahavidyas, she possesses life-giving, nurturing, and transformative powers.
- Remove hidden blockages or karmic obstacles in conception
- Protect the womb from evil eye, negative energies, or miscarriages
- Balance the spiritual energy of both parents
- Increase fertility, vitality, and hormonal balance
- Invite a divine, healthy, and sattvic soul into the family
Procedure (Vidhi) for Baglamukhi Uchchatan Prayog
- 1. Purify the Body and Space: Take a bath, wear clean yellow or white clothes. Clean the pooja area and purify with Gangajal.
- 2. Sankalp (Intention): Sit in front of the idol/yantra and state your name, gotra, and desire for childbirth. Take the sankalp with water in your right hand.
- 3. Kalash Sthapana: Place a copper kalash with water, mango leaves, and coconut. This invokes the cosmic womb and divine energies.
- 4. Invoke Maa Baglamukhi: Offer flowers, haldi, kumkum, and light the lamp. Chant “Om Hleem Baglamukhi Namah” 11 times.
- 5. Mantra Japa: Chant the Santan Prapti Mantra (above) 108 times daily for 21 or 40 days. Focus on the womb as a golden light space being blessed by the Devi.
- 6. Havan: Perform a small havan with turmeric, rice, and ghee while chanting the mantra. Offer “Purnahuti” with coconut and camphor.
- 7. Protection Ritual: Optionally, keep rock salt in a bowl near the bed to absorb negative energy.
- 8. Aarti and Prarthana: Perform Aarti and sincerely pray for the arrival of a healthy, divine child. Offer sweets and distribute among family/friends.
